Cerebellum

Abstract

The cerebellum has a remarkably uniform structure, but shows highly diverse connectivity. In this lecture, I review cerebellar organization from gross anatomical divisions, to lobular and sub-lobular organization, to cell types and circuitry. I then describe cerebellar function, focussing on classical studies of the cerebellum and the models of cerebellar function these studies gave rise to, but also discuss recent evidence regarding cerebellar cognition.

I am interested in the neural basis of complex behaviour. To study this, I use neuroimaging techniques, computational modelling of behaviour and brain stimulation.
